# anthropoi.health — the peoples

A reference database of anthropology: how human communities have
understood healing, illness, ritual, the body, and the soul — told from
served public-domain sources (the ethnographies of healing, divination,
spirit possession, rites of passage, and the discipline's founding
theory), every claim carrying a receipt tracing it to the text it
stands on.

- /works — the shelf, grouped by culture area and school; /text/<slug> reads a work verbatim in episodes with canonical references (small works whole with #anchors, large works one episode at a time via ?ref=)
- /people and /people/<slug> — the ethnonym registry: the cultures of the record, historical ethnonyms as the sources wrote them, modern names alongside

## The honest tiers (labeled on every surface)
- curated entries — the curator has passed; everything else says "candidate" plainly
- receipted attestations — every claim names its episode, work, and edition, and carries evidence_id + receipt_id (NOT NULL by schema; a receiptless claim is unrepresentable here)
- first-pass counts — mention counts are counted by the house's passes, not judged

## Honest framing (a law of this house)
The corpus includes era-bound texts whose vocabulary and premises are
dated or repugnant. The house serves them verbatim — that is what
receipts mean — with era notes on every work page and
what-this-does-not-prove lists on every receipt. Nothing is silently
paraphrased or laundered.

- /.well-known/security.txt is the private reporting contact
- https://anthropoi.health/api/mcp is the public, read-only MCP door
  (initialize, tools/list, tools/call); no token or generation spend.
- https://anthropoi.health/api/v1/tools lists the public tool schemas.
- The public anthropoi_address_get tool reads one complete curated people,
  practice, or concept dossier by kind and slug; candidate or partial dossiers
  return found=false.
- /api/v1/* continues to serve the private family JSON rooms (works,
  contents, episode search, receipts), keyed by house token.

## License posture
Public-domain text only, served verbatim with its edition credited; the
license is verified against the file's own title page before ingest, or
the text does not load. Cite by author and work — the houses are
places, never people.
