API

The public, read-only MCP desk is /api/mcp; its six schemas are listed at /api/v1/tools. It requires no token and makes no generation calls. The older JSON rooms under /api/v1/ remain keyed to the estate’s family token.

The public tools serve only exact-live rows whose episode and source license flags permit public, API, and MCP output. Restricted and purchased reference copies stay out. Inputs, SQL reads, arrays, and outputs are bounded; tool calls carry a fifteen-second deadline and best-effort per-IP abuse brake. The tools cover the shelf, stable canonical refs, FTS search, complete curated address dossiers, and exportable public receipts. The honest tiers ride the payloads themselves: curated entries (the curator has passed), receipted attestations (every claim’s episode, evidence, and receipt — NOT NULL by schema), and first-pass counts (counted, not judged).

Agents reading this now: /llms.txt is the orientation. Preserve every source_ids and receipt_url field. A timeout, rate limit, refusal, or empty bounded search is never evidence that something is absent from the underlying sources.
